Year 2015 - Last Mission in Haiti...

The School of Permaculture and I helped teach over 50 agronomist permaculture, and we worked with a local orphanage for long term food security. There is still a lot of work to be done in Haiti, and other teams and hands and feet are on the ground carrying the mission forward. This time however, the situation is different and the need is still demanding...

In 2022 - Help Me Help

Refugees in Kurdistan

Quick Facts:

  • We are teaching a Permaculture Design Course (PDC)
  • 3000 refugees that can't be homed
  • They are displaced and living in one square mile of desert
  • A farm will be designed and built out to retain water and grow food
  • All permaculture tools will need to be utilized here for successful measures to take place
  • The course will also help their mental health

Kurdistan is a borderless nation that inhabits Iraq, Iran, Turkey, & Syria

The Kurds have been a minority group that has been in this region for thousands of years.

Their nation of Kurdistan is now borderless and shares the land mass of 4 countries (Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey).

The Kurds have been displaced for many years depending on who is in political power. They are thought of as "less than human" and treated the same way. And for a while now they are being displaced and forced into refugee camps in their own land. This is where we come in.

I will be working on the ground with one of my students along with the organization Preemptive Love to teach hands on permaculture through our permaculture design course.

I'm traveling to Arbat which is a small village just south of Sulaymaniyah. in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq where the climate is cooler but don't make a mistake this cooler climate is any less hostile from the sun. It will be a challenging mission both physically and mentally thinking through all the water, people, and dryland issues of the region.

My ask to you is to help me help them. First by please offering prayer for our team, the refugees, the region, and myself.

I'm also raising funds for both sponsoring refugees tuition and food for the course and also for my expenses.

Please take a look at this page and choose whatever option the Spirit is laying on you.

I'm looking forward to working in this region and doing all I can in whatever time capacity I can as well. I hope you help me help refugees for this course this October.

Bless you and thank you very much.
